Cerasomal-cis-9-cetyl myristoleate is pronounced sera-somal-cis-9-see-tul-meer-is-toll-ee-ate (CMO).
Most users need to take only 60 capsules to notice significant long term maintenance of their joint health. To greatly reduce the possibility of needing a repeat dose, please:
Follow the recommended guidelines diligently.
The herb Milk Thistle (Silymarin), a known liver detoxifier, taken for three to four weeks before starting CMO may enhance the benefits. This is particularly important if you have a history of chemotherapy, radiation treatments, years of medications, exposure to toxic environments or alcohol or tobacco use. These can have cumulative adverse effects on liver function. Suggested dose: 300mg to 500mg per day in three divided doses, or one “time release” capsule per day.
Dosage Of CMO Capsules
CMO 60 capsules (each containing 385 mg CMO) suggested for mild to moderate arthrits.
CMO 120 –240 capsules (each containing 385 mg CMO) suggested for long term jand severe arthritis.
Take each dose on a completely empty stomach with half a pint of water.
1st dose- Morning - three capsules before breakfast. Do not eat for at least one hour after taking the capsules.
2nd dose – late afternoon or late evening - three capsules, at least three hours after mid day meal or evening meal. This choice is dependent on your lifestyle. The goal is to have your stomach completely empty when taking the capsules, so that the CMO is properly absorbed. It takes three hours after a meal or even a small snack for your stomach to empty completely. Do not eat for one hour after taking CMO capsules
Diet Restrictions
For best results the following MUST NOT BE CONSUMED while taking CMO and for two weeks after finishing all of the capsules. These substances are known to suppress the immune system and may reduce the effectiveness of CMO. You may return to your usual eating pattern after this time period.
alcohol (beer, wine, liquor)
products containing caffeine (coffee, tea, chocolate, colas, stimulant drinks, etc.) A limited amount, 1 cup, of any decaffeinated beverage each day is OK.
any foods that you know, from past experience, may upset your body.
Many people have found that their joint health is adversely affect after they eat “night shade vegetables” (potatoes (including French fries), aubergine, peppers and tomatoes).
Laxatives, which may encourage elimination of CMO before absorption.
Limit your intake of sweets (sugar foods). Sugar, in quantity, is an immune suppressant.
Dr Sands originally advised against the consumption of all grains. His later research suggested that for most people this was not necessary. If you wish to “play safe” you could cut out all wheat products whilst consuming CMO, but this is not essential.
Diet Recommendations
lean meats – especially beef – beef eaters sometimes respond faster because their bodies create plenty of the exact natural enzymes needed to digest beef and beef products
all fish – especially sardines, salmon, fresh tuna, mackerel, trout (all are high in omega 3 fats). If you do not enjoy eating fish take extra Omega 3 supplements.
All fruits, vegetables, unsalted nuts (except those known or suspected to upset you)
Dairy products, in moderation, are fine if you are in the habit of consuming them and they agree with you.
Vegetarians should eat plenty of high quality protein. Soy and whey products are suggested.
Your body will benefit from a top quality vitamin/mineral supplement daily plus 4 to 6 omega 3 capsules.
Drink at least eight half pint glasses of plain water each day.
